Dan Salmon,
Tongnoxie, Kansas with his first gobbler. Dan bagged the 16# bird on the
opening day of season. According to Dan, the information he found in the SECRETS LIBRARY at TurkeyHuntingSecrets.com did the trick. Dan writes, "I have to
say, your web site has helped me so much. I
don't think I would have gotten my turkey without the information that was provided.
Thanks so much!I was
really pretty lucky to get this turkey. I was walking a path when I saw him in a field
east of the timber I was in. I just sat on the trail and used my mouth call. He more
or less came running. He hung up at the fence line but it didn't take him long to find a
way through the fence. I got him about 5 yards into the timber. I'm surprised my
wife didn't hear me celebrating back in town. You can bet I won't miss another season!
Thanks again for all the help through your web site. It is greatly
appreciated."

The
Turkey Pro, Roger Raisch with his second Missouri gobbler for 1999,
bagged ten minutes before quitting time on the last day of season. I lured this
adult gobbler, along with one of his buddies, into a good roosting/strutting area.
Although no birds were gobbling in the early morning, these two answered my first series
of calls just before noon and quickly worked their way to me. At a range of 20
yards, my Missouri spring hunting came to a great end. The bird weighed 17 1/2
pounds, had no breast sponge, with a beard of 10 1/4" and 1" spurs.

The
Turkey Pro, Roger Raisch with a super jake taken in Iowa during the spring
1999 season. Although I don't usually take a jake, since it was the last day I
could hunt Iowa, combined with poor weather, I decided to harvest this fellow during a
moderate rain shower. The bird weighed 16 pounds with a 5" beard. Any
gobbler taken with a bow is a great trophy...they are hard to come by with bow and
arrow.

Steve Swenson,
Roswell, Georgia, with a fine Iowa gobbler taken at 6:15 a.m. The bird was lured in
with a few soft clucks after Steve made a noisy decoy set up in the dark, including the
loud sound of his shotgun falling from the tree he had leaned it against. Some guys
have all the luck!

Steve Swenson again...this
time with a Coke-Can-Sized Morel mushroom he bagged after he tagged the gobbler in the
above photo. Steve reports that this is easily the largest mushroom he has ever
found....indeed!
