This is what a turkey hunter looks like at
9:00 a.m. after getting one hour of sleep and driving several hours to his hunting spot.
Luckily for this fellow, The Turkey Pro was wide awake and kept an eye out for the
turkeys to approach. This is inside one of my blinds. If anyone can identify
this character, email me at pro@turkeyhuntingsecrets.com
and you will be given a small gift. Didn't think you could sleep like this did you?
Yes you can. |

Tim Lockner,
Urbandale, Iowa, while hunting with The Turkey Pro, Roger Raisch, bagged this adult Iowa gobbler on May Day 1999. The bird flew
down within 50 yards of the two hunters and strutted right up to 20 yards at 6:30
a.m. The bird weighed 22 pounds, with 1" spurs and a 10 1/8" beard.
Sometimes it's this easy....most times it's not.

Tim
Lockner, Urbandale, Iowa, again...this time with a great buck taken in 1997 in Iowa with bow and
arrow. Tim watched this old boy go past his treestand several days in a row, and
missed a shot, before the buck came a bit too close several evenings later. The buck
gross scored 168 1/2 Pope and Young, with a net score of 160 1/2. The 12-pointer
field dressed 185 pounds and was bagged in Clarke County on October 17, 1997 with J &
B Outfitters. Tim waits for the big ones for sure!

John Leschensky,
Waukon, Iowa, while hunting with The Turkey Pro, Roger Raisch, bagged his 1999 Missouri gobbler weighing 18 1/2 pounds, with a 10
1/2" beard and 1" spurs. Note the setup...on the edge of a narrow pasture
with emerging green vegetation. A perfect feeding and strutting area. Both
hunters were concealed in a camo cloth ground blind.

Andy Krohn,
Princeton, MO with a nice gobbler weighing 22 pounds, 12 ounces with a 10" beard and
5/8" spurs. The bird was bagged during the first week of Missouri's two week 1999
spring season.

Dr. David Randall,
Lucas, Iowa, while hunting with The Turkey Pro, Roger Raisch bagged his first-day Missouri gobbler by shooting it across a small
river. The 40 yard shot with the Dr.'s Benelli dropped the 15 3/4 pound adult
gobbler cleanly. The bird sported 1" spurs and a 10 1/2" beard.
After wading the river, David is stuck in the mud trying to scale the opposite bank.
It's obvious why the 6 adult gobblers that came to the river bank decided not to cross it!
See results of his river crossing below. |

Dr. David Randall,
Lucas, Iowa with his first-day Missouri gobbler weighing in at only 15 3/4 pounds, but it
sported a 10 1/2" beard with 1" spurs. The bird was bagged ten minutes before
quitting time. It was one of 6 adult gobblers that were called in from a distance of
over 400 yards.

Betty Perkins,
Volusia County, Florida, with 17 and 19 pound Osceola gobblers with 9" beards.
This was Betty's first year turkey hunting, and she went on to bag the other 3 subspecies
to complete her Grand Slam in a single year! |
